- Dubai Land Department and Dubai Silicon Oasis Organise the Developers Meeting as Part of Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme to Empower National Talent

Dubai Land Department (DLD), in collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the special economic zone for knowledge and innovation and a member of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), organised an interactive meeting that brought together real estate developers and participants of the Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme. This initiative reflects the DLD’s commitment to empowering national talent and enhancing its integration into the real estate ecosystem.

The meeting marked a key practical milestone within the programme’s first phase, providing a direct platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange and fostering high-quality professional relationships between participants and leading developers. It aimed to support participants’ transition from the training stage to practical application, connect them with real opportunities in the real estate market, and enhance their readiness to engage with the sector efficiently and with confidence.

The Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator is one of DLD’s initiatives. It is part of the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, aimed at reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship.

The programme is being implemented in collaboration with its strategic partners, including Dubai Silicon Oasis, the New Economy Academy, and Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai (RIT), through an integrated ecosystem designed to qualify Emirati real estate brokers, empower them to establish and manage their own companies, and provide them with sustainable income streams, thereby strengthening their presence across various segments of the real estate sector.

\The meeting also helped activate developer partners' roles and translate their commitments into tangible opportunities for participants by enabling direct access to projects, data, and marketing opportunities. It further supported the formalisation of partnerships and enhanced the level of support provided by developers, reflecting the Department’s role as a key enabler of national talent.

Badr Buhannad, Director General of Dubai Silicon Oasis, stated: “The Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme represents a key milestone in empowering national talent and qualifying them to enter the real estate sector with competence and confidence. At Dubai Silicon Oasis, we are proud to have a strategic partnership with Dubai Land Department in this programme, which reflects our commitment to supporting an integrated ecosystem that enhances the development of national capabilities and broadens their participation in vital sectors."

Buhannad added: "Through this gathering, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to enabling participants to directly engage with developers and gain first-hand exposure to projects and opportunities on the ground, accelerating their transition from the qualification stage to building real estate companies that are capable of sustainable growth, and confident competition in the market.”

Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), emphasised in his remarks that the programme is a fundamental pillar supporting the sustainability of the real estate sector. He said: “This initiative is driven by a clear vision that recognises empowering national talent as the true foundation for sustaining a thriving and resilient real estate sector. What we are witnessing today marks a qualitative shift from theoretical training to practical application, enabled through direct engagement with developers who have shaped success stories in Dubai’s market. 

What is being built here goes beyond knowledge; it extends to establishing companies capable of competing and delivering real value to the market.”

The meeting featured an overview of the programme and its key advantages, along with a presentation of the opportunities it offers participants. These include mentorship support from specialised experts, dedicated one-on-one guidance hours, and access to advanced real estate platforms and technologies. It also highlighted the provision of marketing opportunities and competitive incentives from developers, further enhancing participants’ readiness to enter the market with confidence and efficiency.

It also featured an interactive panel discussion that brought together developers and participants, offering insights into the current dynamics of Dubai’s real estate market and addressing key opportunities and challenges. The session also more practical understanding of the market and its requirements.

The Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme is one of the pioneering initiatives led by Dubai Land Department, aimed at building an integrated ecosystem that supports Emirati brokers, empowers them to establish sustainable real estate companies, and strengthens their role in driving sector growth, aligned with the UAE’s broader vision to foster entrepreneurship and empower national talent.
