RTA Wins 2024 SAG Award for Special Achievement in GIS

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) received the SAG  Award for Special Achievement in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for its Enterprise GIS Platform. This prestigious award recognises RTA's excellence in using GIS technology through its advanced GIS Enterprise Platform that improves operational efficiency, supports decision-making, and enhances the quality of services provided to the public, in line with the strategic goals of the Dubai Government. RTA remains committed to continuously developing and adopting modern technologies to deliver the best services and elevate Dubai's infrastructure.

Hessa Al Suwaidi, Director of Information Technology at the Corporate Technology Support Services Sector of the RTA, stated that the Enterprise GIS Platform was established using Esri technology. “The platform adheres to best practices to ensure business continuity, rapid disaster recovery, flexibility, and the automation of operational tasks, while achieving the highest standards of information security.”

“Winning this award is a testament to RTA's standing as a leader in technological innovation and a strategic partner in developing Dubai’s smart infrastructure.
