Mohammed bin Rashid meets with Kuwait’s Prime Minister on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2022

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today met with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, who is currently visiting the UAE to participate in the World Government Summit in Dubai. His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, to the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the people of the UAE.

HH Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Kuwaiti Prime Minister and commended the historic ties that link the two nations, which have contributed to enhanced GCC cooperation.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

HH Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the importance of boosting efforts to promote further collaboration between GCC nations to overcome the challenges facing the region and develop new cooperative frameworks to advance sustainable development.

Sheikh Mohammed also commended Kuwait’s comprehensive development journey under the leadership of HH Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah and the follow up of Kuwait Crown Prince Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the country’s accomplishments in diverse spheres. His Highness also expressed the UAE’s keenness to boost economic collaboration and unlock new opportunities for partnerships in trade, tourism and investment between the two countries.

Kuwait’s Prime Minister praised the UAE’s efforts to promote a coordinated GCC approach to tackle key issues. He expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s accelerated rebound from the impact of recent global crises and the exceptional organisation of Expo 2020 Dubai. The World Government Summit is another example of the UAE’s vision for the future and its efforts to foster a dialogue for creating a brighter world, he said.
