Medical Fitness and Occupational Health Centres receive 92% customer happiness rate

Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) Medical Fitness and Occupational Health Centres received a 92% customer happiness rate in 2019.

There are currently 18 active centres spread across Dubai, 13 are Medical Fitness Centres and five are Occupational Health Centres.

Medical fitness tests are a mandatory requirement for all expats in the UAE. Medical Fitness screening is a prerequisite for a residency, employment or education visa. The type of tests required is based on the customer’s category as per UAE Federal Law.

Meanwhile, occupational Health Screening includes blood tests and physical or fitness assessments related to the employee's occupation as per international guidelines. Occupational tests are based on client’s profession. There are currently 20 job professions serving and 300 categories in Dubai.  

Commenting on the satisfaction rate, Maisa Al Bustani, Director of Medical Fitness Services Department at the DHA said: “the department strives to continue on enhancing the quality and efficiency of its services to ensure customer happiness and satisfaction. We constantly conduct studies and surveys to understand customer’s needs and meet their expectations.”

She also stressed that the department ensures the provision of quality standards that are in line with international standards, “in fact in 2018, 10 medical fitness centres received the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. We are working to get 17 center to be JCI accredited in 2020-2021,” she concluded.
