Dubai Economy: Flag Day is a source of inspiration to preserve the country’s gains across various fields

03 Nov, 2020

Dubai Economy organised a ceremony today to commemorate Flag Day, at its headquarters in the Business Village in Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of Dubai Economy and other senior officials. Al Qamzi hoisted the UAE Flag at the ceremony, with a message of commitment to following the footsteps of the leadership in guiding the nation to new heights.

Al Qamzi said: “The Flag Day is a source of inspiration and action to preserve the various gains made by the UAE over the past. Celebrating this occasion in an extraordinary year that has seen the world facing the repercussions of COVID-19, constitutes a determination to continue the process of giving and accelerating economic development. On this occasion, we at Dubai Economy renew our commitment to unite our efforts and energies, inspired by the words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai: “The people of the UAE make me feel proud with their accomplishments and their success adds to the nation’s prestige and eminence. "

The ceremony coincided with the celebrations taking place in the various emirates of the country on the 3rd of November every year to mark the launch of the Flag Day initiative in 2012 by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to commemorate the accession of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
