The Dubai Press Club (DPC), in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), has concluded the first week of activities of the third phase of the ‘Dubai Content Creators Programme’, which aims to develop the skills of content creators and equip them with practical and advanced tools in digital storytelling and creative production.
This phase of the programme seeks to support the creation of high-quality cultural content that reflects Dubai’s identity, values and vibrant cultural landscape. Running from 8 to 19 June, the programme features a series of practical workshops and interactive sessions designed to enhance participants’ capabilities in creating impactful cultural content across digital platforms.
During the first week, participants took part in specialised workshops covering content creation for Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube. The programme also featured a session delivered by blinx, which focused on strategies for growing social media platforms, understanding platform algorithms, and strengthening audience engagement. Participants further attended a practical workshop on the use of artificial intelligence in content creation, where they explored how AI can be integrated into the creative process and gained hands-on experience with a range of AI tools and applications.
The workshops explored a range of topics, including visual storytelling, creative direction, content planning, audience analysis, platform algorithms, performance measurement and the use of digital tools to support the development of engaging and culturally relevant content.
Wedad Kahoor, Section Head, Media Talent Development at the Dubai Press Club, said the first week reflected a high level of engagement and enthusiasm among participants. “The diversity of workshops and sessions was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience that helps them understand the full cultural content creation journey, from idea development to publication and performance measurement.”
Kahoor added: “Throughout the first week, we focused on addressing the evolving needs of today’s content creators by covering the most influential digital platforms, alongside design, analytics, idea organisation and on-camera presentation skills. Our goal is not only to introduce participants to these tools, but also to empower them to use them thoughtfully and responsibly to produce cultural content that reflects Dubai’s identity.
“The collaboration with Dubai Culture highlights the importance of joint efforts to support talent and advance Arabic cultural content in line with the rapid evolution of digital media. We look forward to continuing this journey during the second week through additional workshops and sessions that will further strengthen participants’ capabilities and help them transform their ideas into high-quality, actionable content.”
The programme will continue throughout its second week with a series of practical workshops and sessions designed to help participants further develop their ideas, build compelling cultural narratives, and apply visual communication skills, digital platforms and modern production tools to create content that reflects the richness and diversity of Dubai’s cultural landscape.
The cultural content track forms the third phase of the ‘Dubai Content Creators Programme’, building on the success of the previous two phases, which focused on economic content in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Economy and health and science content in partnership with Dubai Health. The programme forms part of the Dubai Press Club’s ongoing efforts to develop media talent capable of producing specialised, responsible and impactful content that keeps pace with the evolving digital media landscape.
