“We continue to work in line with the vision of our wise leadership to provide a positive and motivating work environment that ensures the safety and well-being of our employees. Receiving these prestigious global awards from the British Safety Council reflects our firm commitment to embedding an integrated organisational culture that places human health, safety and well-being at the core of our operational and development strategies. We believe that investment in health, safety, environmental protection and corporate well-being is essential to enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring business sustainability and strengthening workforce readiness.
This, in turn, positively affects service quality and the achievement of the highest performance levels. We are proud that this integrated organisational approach continues to receive global recognition, underscoring the maturity of our organisational system and our leadership in the global services sector,” said Al Tayer.
“This achievement clearly demonstrates that investing in human capital and environmental protection is not only a social responsibility but also a strategic pillar for ensuring operational efficiency, serving our community in accordance with the highest quality standards and enhancing the long-term sustainability of our operations. This fully aligns with the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly goal three on good health and well-being and goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities. These awards further reinforce DEWA’s position as a global model for excellence, enhancing the confidence of customers, investors and partners, and helping to attract talent and competencies, as professionals increasingly seek to work for organisations that prioritise their safety and well-being,” Al Tayer added.
The Global Honour Awards are among the British Safety Council’s most distinguished international accolades. They are awarded to organisations that demonstrate, through rigorous and independent audits, a strong track record and a comprehensive organisational culture in managing health and safety and environmental protection, while consistently applying leading sustainable practices. DEWA’s repeated achievement of these awards over consecutive years reaffirms the strength of its organisational framework and its success in integrating health, safety, environmental protection and well-being standards as an established operational philosophy and daily practice across all its divisions.
This achievement crowns DEWA’s long-standing journey of excellence. DEWA has maintained a five-star rating in the British Safety Council’s health and safety audits since 2002, and a five-star rating in well-being audits since 2024. These accolades represent robust, independent validation of DEWA’s leadership, its adherence to international best practice and standards, and its commitment to cultivating a pioneering organisational culture grounded in health, safety, environment and employee well-being.
