Under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is convening the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
WETEX 2025 is hosting 18 international pavilions, including those of China, India, Italy, Germany, Russia, France, Poland, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Canada and – for the first time – a dedicated national pavilion for Türkiye.
The pavilions are spread across Sheikh Rashid Hall, Sheikh Saeed Halls 1 to 3, Sheikh Maktoum Hall, Arena Halls 1 and 2, and Halls 1 to 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This year’s event brings together more than 3,100 companies from 65 countries, alongside 68 sponsors and 18 partners.
“WETEX supports the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to consolidate international partnerships and mobilise efforts to build more bridges of communication and expand horizons of co-operation around the world in various fields of sustainability. This advances the path of sustainable development and green finance,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX.
“The international pavilions participating in WETEX 2025 enhance the significant growth achieved by the UAE in all aspects, most notably the trade and investment fields. During the first half of 2025, the UAE recorded significant growth in non-oil foreign trade, reaching 24.5%, compared to the first half of the previous year. Our non-oil trade with our international partners surged at a record rate in the first half of 2025, reaching 120% with Switzerland, 33% with the India, 41% with Türkiye and 15% with China. We welcome all countries that find the exhibition an ideal global platform to achieve their ambitions and goals and remain at the forefront of sustainability,” added Al Tayer.
HE Angelica Schempp, Consul General of Switzerland in Dubai, said: “Swiss companies present at WETEX 2025 reflect our country’s pioneering spirit and deep expertise in water management, energy efficiency, waste treatment and the circular economy. Their solutions have a successful track record in the Middle East and are built to last, making them a natural fit for the UAE’s long-term vision of sustainable development. WETEX provides an ideal platform for them to showcase their products and engage with Dubai’s leadership in digital transformation and artificial intelligence. Together, our two countries can deliver impactful solutions that shape a more sustainable future.”
HE Jean-Christophe Paris, Consul General of France in the Northern Emirates, said: “We are proud to be present, for the third time, at WETEX with a strong French delegation. This pavilion reflects not only the excellence of French innovation but also the depth of the partnership between France and the UAE. By bringing forward solutions that align with the UAE’s ambitious plans and projects, we reaffirm our commitment to contribute to a more sustainable future for the country and the region.”
Najibullo Jabbori, Chief Representative of the Russian Export Centre (REC) in the UAE, said: “Russian companies are bringing their best innovations in energy, ecology and water management to Dubai. The ‘Made in Russia’ exposition reflects our contribution to the global transition towards a sustainable future and opens new opportunities for international co-operation. We are confident that our solutions in sustainable development and green technologies will find strong demand here.”
Edith Mayeux, Trade Commissioner at the Belgium-based Wallonia Export & Investment Agency, said: “This is a proud moment for Belgium. We are honoured to see Belgian innovation recognised on a global stage, such as Sotrad Water receiving the prestigious the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award which Suqia UAE supervises. Our participation in WETEX 2025 reflects not only our commitment to sustainability but also the diversity of solutions our companies bring – from solar-powered mobility and medical waste management to advanced water and energy technologies. Belgium continues to deliver practical, forward-thinking answers to today’s most urgent environmental challenges.”
Eyad Qudsi, Area Director for the Middle East and Africa at the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, said: “I am proud to lead the Ontario Water and Cleantech Mission to WETEX 2025 in Dubai. Ontario Province is recognised globally for its leadership in clean technologies and our presence at WETEX reflects our commitment to advancing sustainable solutions and fostering international collaboration. The Ontario Pavilion will feature 10 cutting-edge companies that exemplify our province’s innovation and expertise in addressing water and environmental challenges. DEWA provides an exceptional platform for global dialogue, innovation and partnership in support of a greener future.”
Jacek Boguslawski, board member within the Marshal’s Office of Wielkopolska Region in Poland, said low and zero-emission technologies play a key role in combating climate change and pursuing sustainable development.
“The implementation of alternative energy sources not only brings environmental benefits but also provides an opportunity for innovation, the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of energy security. Wielkopolska is committed to the development of a low and zero-emission economy, including one based on hydrogen, by creating ecosystems for SMEs and scientists, as well as participating in energy transition programmes such as the Just Transition Fund for Eastern Wielkopolska. Our goal is to build a regional brand based on modern technologies by creating networks and participating in international industry events, increasing business opportunities in a dynamically developing market,” said Boguslawski.
