Dubai Police Win Five IACP Awards for 2025

Dubai Police have won five prestigious awards from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) for 2025, during the annual awards ceremony held in the United States as part of the association’s global conference.

Major General Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al Mulla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, affirmed that Dubai Police’s achievement of five distinguished IACP awards highlights once again the force’s leading position on the global map of security and policing excellence. It also reflects the exceptional efforts of all departments and personnel dedicated to institutional excellence and innovation in policing.

He added, “At Dubai Police, enhancing the security system remains a top priority;whether through field projects, training initiatives, or leadership development programmes. Our continuous commitment to innovation and readiness has made us a benchmark for policing excellence. This new recognition embodies our determination to foster a culture of creativity and innovation supported by human talent, advanced technologies, and strategic global partnerships.”

He expressed pride in both the institutional and individual achievements, which reflect the spirit of teamwork and organisational integration that characterise Dubai Police. He noted that these awards mark another milestone in the force’s journey towards greater accomplishments that strengthen its standing as a global model of comprehensive and sustainable security excellence.

Dubai Police won three awards in the institutional category:


•Prevention of Transnational Crime Award – awarded to INTERPOL Team 15 from the General Department of Criminal Investigation.

•Leadership in Crime Prevention Award – for SecurePlay by the General Department of Training.

•Leadership in Law Enforcement Research Award – also received by the General Department of Training.

In the individual category, Dubai Police earned two awards:

 •Engineer Major Muhammad Omar Almuhairi won the Leadership in Police Aviation Award.

•Captain Sama Abdulrahim Al Zarouni received the 40 Under 40 Award.
