His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, said that Commemoration Day is an opportunity to recognises the bravery of those who gave their lives to safeguard the nation and preserve its honour and stability.
His Highness noted that the memory of the martyrs and their sacrifices provides a source of national pride and inspires future generations, instilling values of loyalty to the country and its leadership. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that the martyrs, guided by faith and a commitment to justice, demonstrated extraordinary bravery and devotion, ensuring the UAE is remembered as a nation of courage, peace and justice.
Sheikh Hamdan also said that the principles established by the founding fathers continue to guide the UAE under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, together with Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, towards a future of progress and prosperity.
His Highness paid tribute to the UAE Armed Forces, noting that the nation’s strength rests on their dedication and the principles on which they were founded. He also commended the families of the fallen heroes for their patience and resilience, saying that their sacrifices support the UAE’s unity and continued progress.
Sheikh Hamdan also noted that protecting the nation and safeguarding its security is a responsibility the Armed Forces continue to uphold with dedication. He offered prayers for the martyrs and for the continued safety of the UAE, its leaders and its people, affirming that the UAE flag will always remain a symbol of national pride.
