Maktoum bin Mohammed pays tribute to UAE martyrs on the occasion of Commemoration Day

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, said that Commemoration Day serves as an opportunity for the UAE to honour the nation’s martyrs and express deep gratitude for their sacrifices. He said that their selfless acts have ensured the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Maktoum also highlighted that their sacrifices stand as enduring symbols of loyalty and bravery, etching their names in the nation’s history. He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to preserving their legacy, ensuring their memory continues to inspire and guide the nation’s path toward a brighter future.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added that as the nation honours its heroic martyrs, it is equally important to recognise the families of the martyrs, who take immense pride in their selfless contributions to the nation. The sacrifices of the martyrs strengthen the resolve, unity, and determination of the Emirati people, who remain steadfast and loyal to their wise leadership, he said.

HH Sheikh Maktoum also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the members of the UAE Armed Forces and praised their steadfast efforts to protect the nation. “We honour the heroes serving in the line of duty and those committed to protecting the nation, its people, and everyone who lives or visits this country. Through their dedication, the UAE remains a key partner in advancing peace, stability, and prosperity globally.”
