Mansoor bin Mohammed attends 26th traditional Commencement Ceremony of the AUD

- Ceremony celebrates the graduation of 300 students of various schools of AUD

- Globally-acclaimed fashion designer Elie Saab delivers Commencement Speech at the event

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, today attended the 26th traditional Commencement Ceremony of the American University in Dubai (AUD) held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Ceremony was attended by Elias Bou Saab, Executive Vice President of AUD and Dr. David A. Schmidt, the President of AUD. The event was also attended by leaders from across Dubai’s education sector. Globally acclaimed fashion designer Elie Saab delivered the Commencement Speech at the event.

The Ceremony celebrated the graduation of 300 students of various schools of AUD including the School of Architecture, Art & Design; the School of Arts & Sciences; School of Business Administration; Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication; School of Education; and the School of Engineering.

Sheikh Mansoor honoured graduate Ayat Deerham, the valedictorian of the 26th cohort of AUD at the ceremony.

In his Commencement Speech, Elie Saab congratulated the efforts of the graduating students and spoke about his vision to build a global brand. He told the students that they are privileged

to “be in this beautiful city, Dubai” where “dreams are created and achieved.” He said: “The leadership of this country proved that nothing is impossible.”

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed took a photograph with the graduates to commemorate the occasion.

Dr. David A. Schmidt, the President of AUD, thanked the Dubai leadership for its unlimited support to the university since its inception.
