Dubai Islamic honors the winners of the design competition (the most beautiful mosque on the Pearl Jumeirah island)

The Department of Islamic Affairs and charitable Activities in Dubai honored the winners of the competition to design the most beautiful mosque on the Pearl Jumeirah island, in a ceremony organized by the Department yesterday afternoon at the headquarters of the American University in Dubai.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Mohammed Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of the Department's Mosque Affairs Sector, Dr. Sabrina Joseph, Dean of the American University in Dubai, Dr. Anna Cornaro, head of the engineering department at the American University, Maryam Juma Al Falasi, Jassim Al Abdouli from Dubai Holding real estate company, and a number of professors and students of the University.

Student Fatima Al-Sada ( from the UAE) won the first place, student Nidal al-Ashhab ( Palestinian) won the second place and student Anna De Sa from Brazil won the third place .

Dubai Holding real estate company provided cash bonuses to the winners of the designs amounting to (AED 20 thousand) for the first place (AED 15 thousand) for the second place and (AED 10 thousand) for the third place،
Mohammed Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi honored the winners and participants in the competition and handed them certificates of thanks and appreciation, and also thanked the professors at the American University for this positive interaction, which resulted in the success of the competition and the selection of appropriate designs, and Dubai Holding real estate company for their material and moral support and care for the contestants.

In advance, the Department of mosque engineering and Care (Engineering Department ) at the department held a workshop for second-year students at the College of engineering, American University in Dubai, to inform them about the details of participating in the competition, which included presenting a realistic plot of land to students on the Pearl Jumeirah Island and studying how to model design of this land, in line with the Department's vision and strategy aimed at constructing full-fledged and sustainable mosques, to contribute to the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 and the development of Dubai neighborhoods and areas.
