Dubai to host the 4th FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup on Friday 4th Nov

The 4th edition of the FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup will be launched Friday evening 4th Nov. 2022 at Dubai Sports City’s Stadiums.

The three–day Championship, to be hosted by Dubai for the second successive year, is organized by the International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO) in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council and it is scheduled to be concluded on 6th Nov. 2022.

The Championship will be held as per the regulations of the five-a-side-football competitions with participation of 16 teams from the various continents of the world; these are: three teams from UAE, two teams from Monaco, Bangladesh, Switzerland, India, Lebanon, Mali, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, two teams from Oman and Congo. Participating teams will be classified into four groups.

Teams participating in this Championship qualified after surpassed the qualifiers stage competed by the corporates in each country. The Iranian Team won the title of the last two editions of the Championship, which took place in Dubai in 2021 & in Monaco in 2019 respectively, while the 2018 version was held in Montreal – Canada & won by the Mexico Team.

Dubai will also host the meetings of the General Assembly of the International Federation of Corporate Football on Thursday 3rd Nov. 2022 at 09:00 pm in the Sheraton Mall of the Emirates Hotel, with participation of 20 of the Member States, while the other Member States will participate in the meetings via the Video Calling.

Mr. Albert Zbily, the President of the International Federation of Corporate Football, stated: “The Emirate of Dubai has been named to host the 4th edition of the FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup as per a unanimous request from the members of the General Assembly of the International Federation of Corporate Football, thanks to the well-based infrastructure & developed facilities of the city besides its ability to host top world championships in addition to the availability of malls & entertainment centers and easy access to the city through airports. All members have insisted that the General Assembly meetings be convened in Dubai. The current edition of the Championship is expected to attain remarkable success.
