Dubai Press Club and Oakridge Academy organise a training programme in advanced TV presenting

-Featuring 36 participants from across the region, the four-day programme was held at DPC

Dubai Press Club, in collaboration with Oakridge Academy, organised a four-day training programme in advanced TV presenting, which featured 36 participants from 13 countries. The training was led by TV host and media personality Neshan Der Haroutiounian.

The Programme, held at DPC, provided practical training in TV presenting and an opportunity to learn core skills of presenting for various programmes ranging from news to entertainment. The training also covered a range of topics, which included basic principles of presenting news, interview techniques, language and expression proficiency, camera presentation, body language in dealing with the camera, presenting and showing character, common mistakes while presenting and more.

Maryam Al Mulla, Head of membership at the Dubai Press Club, said that the advanced training programme organised by DPC with Oakridge Academy is part of the Club’s commitment to develop programmes for enhancing the skills of media professionals in partnership with leading organisations and experts.
AL Mulla added that the Programme provided an opportunity for participants with a strong passion for TV presenting to learn key skills that enable them to become professional presenters.

Mohammed Saleh, Co-Founder and CEO of Oakridge Academy, said that supporting talent and honing the skills of youth is one of the Academy’s top priorities.

Saleh expressed his happiness for organising the workshop in collaboration with Dubai Press Club, which he said contributes to raising the competencies of media professionals across the region.
