DEWA celebrates UAE National Day at its pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai

Amid a festive atmosphere, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) celebrated the 50th UAE National Day at its pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai in the Sustainability District. The celebration witnessed a large turnout by Expo 2020 visitors.

The celebrations at the pavilion included coloured lights in the shape of the UAE flag and traditional performances by the Emirati Al Harbiya band that visitors enjoyed, including taking photos. The pavilion also shared Arabic coffee, dates and local food. Multimedia screens displayed historical images, the UAE flag and DEWA’s achievements that support national efforts, especially in the transition to renewable and clean energy.

Last week, DEWA celebrated National Day at its head office and some branches. Celebrations featured a variety of heritage activities. DEWA also launched an internal microsite that included information about the Founding Fathers, the UAE’s most prominent achievements during the past fifty years, information about Hatta, and other national topics. There were also online competitions on National Day. Winners received prizes, including 50 tickets for Expo 2020 Dubai.

DEWA invites the public to visit its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai to enjoy a unique experience and learn about its key projects, smart services, and innovative initiatives, especially in clean and renewable energy. Visitors can also learn about DEWA’s efforts to use Fourth Industrial Revolution applications to disrupt utilities and become the world’s first digital utility.
