Mohammed bin Rashid chairs Cabinet meeting, approves public holidays for 2021, 2022

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has approved the national holidays for both the public and the private sectors for the years 2021 and 2022.

Announcing the public holidays’ agenda for 2021 and 2022 aims at organizing workflow in both sectors and enable employees and their families to plan their holidays and activities in advance.

Holidays announced for 2021:
• 1 January 2021: New Year
• 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal 1442: Eid Al Fitr
• 9 Zul Hijjah 1442: Arafah Day
• 10,11,12 Zul Hijjah 1442: Eid Al Adha
• 1 Muharam 1443: Islamic New Year (will be shifted to 12 August 2021)
• 12 Rabea Al Awwal 1443: Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday (will be shifted to 21 October 2021)
• 1 December 2021: Commemoration Day
• 2 and 3 December 2021: National Day

 Holidays for year 2022:
• 1 January 2022: New Year
• 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal 1443: Eid Al Fitr
• 9 Zul Hijjah 1443: Arafah Day
• 10,11,12 Zul Hijjah 1443: Eid Al Adha
• 30 July 2022: Islamic New Year
• 8 October 2022: Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday
• 1 December 2022: Commemoration Day
• 2 and 3 December 2022: UAE National Day
