27 Oct, 2020

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) showcases the innovations of some of its distinguished employees at the Innovators Stand during the 22nd Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and the 5th Dubai Solar Show (DSS). These smart systems and programmes enhance sustainability, productivity, health and safety, based on the latest disruptive and the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

DEWA organises the virtual 3D WETEX and DSS, under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of DEWA.

The Innovators stand has smart innovations like Automatic Monitoring and Controlling site activities (AMAC) that detect delays in construction projects and sends daily notifications to decision-makers, with reasons for the delay, making it easy to use and highly efficient. The stand also highlights the Mirzab Pipes that can precisely detect leakages and their locations in seconds, reducing water losses in record time. The stand includes the Smart Helmet that sends alerts to workers to maintain social distancing for their safety. The stand also includes the Deep Opinion project that analyses stakeholder feedback with detailed data to help decision-makers improve service efficiency.

WETEX and DSS provide opportunities for thousands of exhibitors from the government and private sectors to showcase their innovative achievements for the first time to thousands of visitors, investors, officials and decision-makers in the energy, water, renewable energy, environment and sustainability. This enhances sustainable development and Dubai’s position as a global hub for green products and technologies. The innovations from its employees strengthen DEWA’s leading position as one of the largest supporters of innovation in the UAE.

Besides the Innovators stand, visitors can also check out the other DEWA stands: the Main stand, the Green Week stand, Business Development and Excellence stand and Suppliers Relation Management Hub.

WETEX and DSS are held from 26 to 28 October 2020. Registration is available on the WETEX mobile app or website www.wetex.ae/Registration
