Dubai Sports Council celebrates Champions of Individual & Team Competitions

Dubai Sports Council (DSC) celebrated teams of Dubai sports clubs, which won titles & cups in individual and team local competitions during the sports season 2021 – 2022.

Cups & trophies, gained by Dubai clubs, decorated the Press Conference Hall in DSC’s premises during the celebration, which was held in the presence of H.E. Saeed Hareb, the Secretary General of DSC / H.E. Naser Aman Al-Rahma, the Assistant Secretary General of DSC / Mr. Ahmed Salim Al-Mahri, Acting Director of Sports Development Department / Mr. Ali Omar, Director of Sports Events Department / Mr. Ali Al-Bedwawi, the CEO of Hatta Club / Mr. Ahmed Al-Junahi, the CEO of Al-Nasr Sports Games Co. / Mr. Khalid Darweesh, Representative of Shabab Al-Ahli Club / Mr. Mohammed Saeed, Supervisor of Team & Individual Games in Al-Wasl Club / several administrators, managers & stars of the winning teams.

H.E. Saeed Hareb congratulated teams & players of Dubai clubs toward their achievements and thanked them for the distinctive representation of Dubai clubs in the last sports season’s competitions.

He stated: “We are pleased toward the good relations & integration in work between DSC & Dubai clubs, because of which several achievements have been attained in all levels. We are also pleased toward the remarkable achievements & championships attained by first teams & age groups of our clubs despite tough competitions in UAE sports championships. The winning of these titles reflects the remarkable work & hard efforts exerted by each member in the team throughout the last sports season”.

He added: “The several titles, cups & trophies, you have attained, confirm that our clubs are keen to achieve excellence & superiority in all sports. These achievements also affirm that all talents in UAE find opportunities in our clubs to exercise favorite sports, attain excellence and continue in the practice of these favorite sports until they become competent enough to represent UAE national teams. We wish them further excellence and to gain more titles during the upcoming sports season”.

Shabab Al-Ahli Team won three basketball titles; these are the general league’s title, UAE President’s Cup, and UAE Vice President’s Cup.

In volleyball, Dubai club teams won four titles as follows: Shabab Al-Ahli won the League’s title, while Al-Nasr Club gained the UAE President’s Cup, UAE Vice President’s Cup & the Super Cup. In table tennis for teams, Dubai clubs won two titles as Shabab Al-Ahli won the league’s title and the UAE President’s Cup.

In team athletics, Al-Nasr Team won the League Title & the UAE Vice President’s Cup, while in cycling competitions for teams – men’s category, Shabab Al-Ahli Team secured the League’s Title & the UAE President’s Cup. In karate competitions, Shabab Al-Ahli Team won the Future Stars Cup & gained the General Excellence Trophy. In Futsal Competition, Al-Nasr Team won the UAE President’s Cup & the Super Cup.

In beach soccer competitions, Al-Wasl Team won the UAE President Cup, Al-Wasl Team got the UAE President Cup. Al-Nasr Team presented excellent performance in the UAE Judo Championship – kata, besides remarkable achievements in women’s cycling & shooting and the padel tennis.

In age groups competitions, Dubai clubs attained several titles in the various sports during the sports season 2021 – 2022. In football competitions, Shabab Al-Ahli Team won the U 21 Professional League Title, U 20 Youth League Title & U 20 Youth Cup. Al-Wasl Club secured the U 19Youth League Title. Shabab Al-Ahli gained the U 17 Juniors League Title, while Al-Wasl won the U 16 Juniors League Title. Al-Nasr got the U 15 Cubs League Title, whereas Al-Shabab Al-Ahli won the U 14 Cubs Title. Al-Wasl attained the title of the U 14 Cubs League – second category and won the U 13 Grassroots League Title.

In basketball competitions, Shabab Al-Ahli won the U 21 League Title, while Al-Wasl got the UAE President’s Cup for Youth. Al-Nasr won titles of the leagues of the Juniors, Cubs & Grassroots, besides the Cubs Cup.

In volleyball competitions, Hatta won the Youth League Title & the Youth Cup, while Shabab Al-Ahli secured the Juniors League Title besides the Cubs Title. In futsal competitions, Al-Nasr won the Youth League Title. In Table Tennis for Teams, Al-Nasr won titles of the youth, juniors & cubs.

In team athletics, Al-Nasr won titles of the UAE Cup and the UAE Vice President’s Cup for youth, juniors & cubs categories. In cycling competitions for teams, Al-Nasr won the youth title. In karate (boys & girls), Shabab Al-Ahli won the titles of the youth, juniors & cubs categories. In fencing, Shabab Al-Ahli attained the U 20 UAE Fencing Championship – sword weapon.
