Mohammed bin Rashid orders promotion of 4,116 Dubai Police personnel


Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has ordered the promotion of 4,116 staff of Dubai Police including officers, non-commissioned officers, and other personnel.

The promotions include status adjustments of 148 officers, promotions and retirement of six officers, and retirement of nine officers.

Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed and congratulated the officers who received promotions.

Nine officers were promoted to the rank of Brigadier, 40 to the rank of Colonel, 57 to Lieutenant Colonel, 53 to Major, 174 to Captain, 178 to First Lieutenant and 137 to Lieutenant, while 21 officers received status adjustment within the same rank.

The order also included the promotion of 452 and status adjustment of nine to the rank of First Warrant Officer, promotion of 256 and status adjustment of three to the rank of Warrant Officer, promotion of 323 and status adjustment of 14 to the rank of First Sergeant, promotion of 809 and status adjustment of nine to the rank of Sergeant.

Three officers were promoted within the same ranks and ordered to retire. A Warrant Officer and a Sergeant were also ordered to retire. The order also included the promotion of 747 and status adjustment of 92 to the rank of First Corporal, promotion of 516 to Corporal, and promotion of 366 to First Policeman.
